Was not expecting so many parts of this book

Just finished lecture 24... camels were jumping off of cliffs and it was a little difficult to follow, but I think I appreciate why Freud wrote an introduction to psychoanalysis and not an introduction to neuroses.

Not my first recommendation for anyone interested in Freud, but só interesting!

I have broken into part one of the popol vuh, according to this edition. The poetry is vivid.

This book has been slow going, but it is rich and fascinating. It is nice to linger on the pages. Evans-Pritchard has up to this point described the Nuer's esteem and reliance on cattle, how their cattle rearing occurred in an arid environment shaped by the monsoon cycle; and he has theorized how their material circumstances shape their ideas of time and space.

Covered: slavery, emancipation and sharecropping, urban migration, washer women, Pullman porters, great migration, domestic workers.
