I don’t know how to feel about that sex scene happening literally immediately after the SA scene. Sure it was only alluded to and wasn’t explicit but it still felt weird to read about intimacy after seeing the after effects of trauma.

I disagree with this take on Helen of Troy but I do think it could be remedied if it was revealed that Helen went willingly with Paris for the same reason that Achilles went to war: to avoid wasting away their divinity. I will keep my mind open to see what is done with Helen.

Idk I feel like maybe these two should at some point try to get Odysseus on their side and explain the prophecy. Although he’s a bit shady, he’s overall not a bad guy so I think he would be understanding if they explained, “Achilles cannot face off with Hector or else he will literally die soon after.” And figure something else out.

Also Pat, you have to know that it can’t be that easy. Do I need to bring up Oedipus Rex to these boys for the list of Greek heroes whose lives have ended tragically because of prophetic vagueness? Still a 4/5 star read but these kids need to use their head.
