not only do i need to transfer a bunch of reviews from storygraph, but i haven't written my reviews for books ive been reading in the past like two months. and we have less than a month until my year in books comes out. so i am so sorry for the influx of my thoughts everyone is about to witness (only half sorry. i love attention and sharing my opinions.)

My enjoyment of this is hindered by the author referencing 2019 slang and memes. Very odd choice.

this book is like. its bringing up interesting ideas and never DOING ANYTHING with them! you cannot go by the way magic time and not explore that fully!

this is like. im gonna keep reading but im about to start gatekeeping the south. yes i live in maryland now but i used to live in the south and was raised by a deep south family on both sides and like. the experience women have in the south is painfully different from mens experience and its very evident in this writing so far! also very white because why exactly? except for the mammy figure of course

so far this wants to be the secret history but like. they definitely missed the class commentary in the secret history. i sure hope it gets better and i am just jumping to conclusions when i've barely started!
