I keep doing the thing where "I didn't really like the previous book I read by this author, but I feel like I should have so maybe I should give the new one a try"

Leaving this here as a reminder to discourage continuing the same pattern

If inclusivity were as important to her as she claims in the intro, someone with subject matter expertise would have been brought to the editing table.

As-is, it feels like she used a find-and-replace for the terms "women" and "men" without spending any time reflecting on where she was speaking about anatomy, gender, orientation, or behavior. & it is wearing thin

She has already twice told an anecdote & noted that the source specifically asked her to please not share.... ick

The delusions of grandeur are so real 😩
