Unfortunately, I read the next short story - “The Dubious Ladies of Mirador” by Melissa Marr and I had to skip over it once I found out about some of the tropes in the story 😅😭 I don’t normally read sapphic romance and so once I found out that that’s what it was I had to skip over it. Therefore I’m not giving a rating for it

Just finished Olivie Blake’s story - the fall guy. My rating: 2.5/5 ⭐️ (😬). One of the things I love most about Blake’s craftsmanship is her writing and this felt like it was written by a completely different person 🫠😩. Did not connect to the characters, plot was all over the place, etc. Anywho, onto the next story!

I don’t normally read anthologies but my plan for this one is to make a progress report after I finish each short story and tell a bit about why I liked/disliked it and give it a rating so that when I go to write my final review I can do so accordingly.

I’m already so obsessed with how Alix E. Harrow writes 😍… the lyricism, the prose, the flow of emotion and storytelling is gorgeous! I also love how the story feels like a love letter from Owen to Una and I’m so excited to see how their story plays out 🤭

I’m scared because how am I supposed to wait until later this year to get book 3 😭🥺🫠… but I’m so excited to be back with the clan and see their antics 🤭🙃

I fear this may be my next 5⭐️ read 😩🤭🥹

This book is like if “Ms. Peregrin’s Home for Peculiar Children”, “Harry Potter”, and Tim Burton’s stories had a baby… and I kinda love it 🤭😅🙈

the whimsy, the magical-ness, the grace and warmth and love that TJ Klune shows his characters and settings really makes me value his creation even more 🥰
