I'm listening to the audio because I'll be walking a lot this week and I'm enjoying this one so far

I'm hooked on this

it's so powerful

Natalie's retellings are by far my favourite, I love her style of showing so many different perspectives that you usually don't, and I do love this story anyway so I'm definitely loving this

The Lord of the Rings similarities are hard to ignore, but I'm sure once the main plot gets going it'll differ a lot more from these similar elements

I spontaneously picked up the most intimidating book on my tbr because I am trying to finish the whole physical tbr by the end of the year ... and I'm actually enjoying this so far, it's a little bit ok get to the action already but at the same time the world-building is interesting and the writing is very strong

I've read a good amount of Medusa retellings. I loved Medea by this author, and so far, I like this one too, it's definitely powerfully feminist. It's enraging, really.

I just listened to all of that on my night shift because I'm working solo and can easily just focus on the book and it has made me quite emotional at parts. I'll listen to the rest tonight!

I have 3 12 hour night shifts from Sunday so I'll be knocking out the majority of this via audiobook then!

How old is Reyn exactly because I want to like him but Malta is Really young and if he's any older than 15-16 that is not OK

This is very engrossing and intriguing

Malta is a very realistic teenage girl, and I like her but she's also very flawed in the ways she should be, just a well written character
