Wow. I did not imagine this book gripping me as much as it has so far 😅. I’m not even sure I can describe why?? It does remind me of Wendell Berry and Nail Williams except the small town community is a series of these tiny islands of Norway. I’ve never really been infatuated with the northern countries. It this book and the history of those rural wild places has my soul hooked.
