lord help me, I’m sexually and emotionally attracted to the goat man

honestly kind of dragging now. there's some cute moments for sure, but the "mystery" portion is lackluster. the subplot about practicing magic through grief is interesting and leads to some exciting moments, but sometimes the magic plots distract from the book.

pretty good so far, I enjoy the cozy atmosphere of the story and the world building. The writing style is a little too much telling and not enough showing, but other than that it's an enjoyable story.

IT'S GETTING INTENSE

This was recommended to me by my girlfriend and she is obsessed with it. I didn't know what to expect, but this exceeded it. I am less of a genre person and more of a writing person, I don't mind the genre as long as the world building is fluent, the characters are realistic and the writing style is readable and all of the above are true. This is definitely written in the female gaze, it's nice to have a cheat sheet.

Started it with Bribri, really strong opening! I’m excited to see where it goes
