just started reading this yesterday, but it is a quick read. Rings true to life and is a look at a girl's upbringing with hoarder parents in USA

keep finding cultural and factual errors, extremely unbelievable story, especially the romantic and ''harem'' aspects.

blimey, she was a girl and a 'alf!
I am still plodding through this epic, she lived a long and extremely full life, had numerous lovers and wielded total power, the Russian empire at this time is a fascinating world, hard to imagine now how powerful she actually was.

enjoying this, a bit dry but fascinating insight into another world and another time

rather immature tale, would probably have enjoyed it when I was a teenager.
