Besides Goodreads not having a ui update in what feels like a decade, I’m trying to de-Amazon my life a bit (Amazon owns Goodreads). Just a heads up. I will be moving to StoryGraph full time in 2025. I’m trying to de-amazon my life a bit (Goodreads is owned by Amazon), and StoryGraph is the first legitimate contender I’ve found (their metrics and data visualization are already better). Even better, it’s minority-owned and completely independent. Find me there!

I am moving my book-tracking experience to StoryGraph in 2025. I learned recently Amazon owns Goodreads, and I'm trying to be more thoughtful about which companies I support and make changes where I can. StoryGraph is an independent, and black-woman owned alternative that looks very promising. I hope y'all will join me there.
