I had to switch editions. This is the one I'm reading.

Started this up again from the summer. And I did watch the movie.

Loving the occassional letters from Emma Jung in this. And the continual worry of Jung's that Freud won't like his foray into mythology, etc. and Freud telling him it's okay, but with reservation.

My professor let me borrow this for a paper, but I didn't get around to using it. So making this a Winter Break read.

Love this book!

Finishing up before my second lecture on this tomorrow. Then, Fall Break!

Such a great translation! Trying to finish this before my second lecture on it next week. Such a helpful glossary as well.

Reading this for World Mythololgy prep. They wanted more Greek mythology. This translation is amazing. I don't really remember the version I read in HS (assuming I read it - pretty sure), but I intuit nothing could be better than this.

I am so thankful to my friend who put me onto N.B. I am absolutely loving the Christian existentialism and views on God and human consciousness that align so well with my own. It is dense and I feel I am reading it slowly, but it is the book I carry around with me if I get a chance to read something.

Planning on finishing this during the month of July (last month of summer vacation before prepping for the Fall semester). I've skipped around in the past few years, so finding all the chapters that I still have to read.

Such a clarlfying book if you've read the Gene Keys.

Such an impressive book - so well research and great writing. Oh, if only I could write such a dissertation!

So interesting. I might pause this until Winter Break as well.

I'm obsessed. The section (just finished) on love, etc. is so good!

Oh, the suspense. Did he murder his father or not?! Don't tell me. I want to believe Dimitri.

Slow going but really interesting.

In the section of The Body now.

So interesting. Somewhat painful to see the way Jung walks a delicate line between his personal perspectives and Freud's ego, but really wonderful. Feels very much like a toxic, enmeshed kind of projection that they were both pointing toward each other early on. I didn't know it was Jung who somewhat put Freud on the map.

Such an interesting historical account of not only Sabina S., one of the first women to practice and write in psychoanalysis, but the beginnings of psychoanalysis, the strange late 19th cent/early 20th cent. hysteria/neuroses that somehow emerged and disappeared with the time, etc. Based on a dissertation. I probably won't watch the movie, so love this book.
