Most of this book has been read via audiobook during car drives to and from microbiology class in the summer. It's been enjoyable and I get about two chapters a day when I really get stuck in traffic.

I feel like this author had a checklist of social problems to touch on, without many of them (beyond climate change) seemingly having a major impact on the story (plus, the story feels oddly connected, characters don't feel fleshed out enough). This isn't really my read, but I'm almost done so I'm gonna finish the book.

Maman’s funeral procession, a lot of red-color symbolism. I enjoy the choppy style of writing, feels more like a journal/diary. Getting some slight autistic vibes from Meursault.
