This one will be slow because most of the middle deliberately recommends reading one “devotion” per day. Phenomenal so far, each of the devotions has been profound.

I’m unlikely to finish this. It’s a very interesting approach to fantasy and a totally unique book, but I found the pace too slow to maintain an interest in continuing (and it’s a fairly long book). There seemed to be a determined effort to keep the magic implicit, unspoken, and always slightly offscreen. Valid style choice but didn’t keep me riveted.

I won’t be finishing this. The wild and wacky literary craziness is inventive but really not my cup of tea.
