FIRST ONE DOWN!!!! RIP [redacted]!

I'm starting this over from the beginning..... 2026 can not end until I finish this book!!

I'm starting it over....... lets fucking go, we're finishing it this year!!!!!!

yoooooooo Captain Ahab namedrop its happening fam

i keep having to put the book down and pace

I can already see you picking flowers with me in the fields tomorrow,
But when you come tomorrow and really do go picking flowers with me,
That for me will be joyous and new.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHGGGG HHHHHGGGHHHGGG GHGHHHHUHHH !!!!!!!!!!

back at it again

The light from the sun doesn't know what it does
Which is why it never strays and belongs to everyone and is good

And if sometimes I want,
In my imagination, to be a little lamb
(Or to be the whole flock
And wander over the entire hillside
And be many happy things at the same time)
It's only because I feel what I write at sunset,
Or when a cloud passes a hand over the light
And a silence runs away through the grass.

These people are Crazy.

I have officially had to skip Straub's introduction because he is NOT making me want to engage with this novel

I needed to read a book that wasn't gonna piss me off and so I'm rereading this.

nobody should cry during this book, what a fucking joke. just to be clear, I haven't turned around on liking this or something, I am just independently emotionally fucked up right now

I believe I could destroy Erickson, he is so weak, like a little baby

remains genuinely obnoxious. there could be payoff, but I literally have no idea if Erickson wrote all of this to be annoying or if he thinks this is cool and edgy.... apparently I'm going to finish this though wtf

so far it's a little obnoxious but I will persevere
