For some reason I can only picture the Dylan O'brien movie Love and Monsters while reading this. There are zero monsters in the book so I don't know why my brain is doing this.

It is kinda reading like it's the MMC's first time noticing sexism in the workforce. He is only really seeing it because it is happening to someone he has feelings for.
Dont hate me... but it feels a little like the sexism is being used as a plot point to allow the mmc to stand up for her, rather than portraying it as the serious, systemic issue that it is.

"Do not underestimate his capacity to fuck things up". No truer words have been spoken about Holden. He somehow makes the worst possible decision in every single situation.
He is not even so smart that he's dumb. He is so dumb that its surprising that he made it past the first 100 pages of book 1.

Why is no one talking about this book? 12k ratings but I have not seen a thing about it online.
I am obsessed so far and need the second book to be released.
