So, I got sidetracked for a bit with the discovery of comic books (don't ask) but I finally made it back to the story and what a story it has been! In some ways, I'm glad for the inturruption, because it made me pace myself, instead of just rushing right through, and this is definitely a book - and a series - to savour! More complete review in a few days :)

I'm enjoying this a lot - the writing is very evocative. It's a little slow right now, trying to keep the threads being laid out straight, but one they start bring woven more tightly, I expect it to really take off

Utterly charming! It's a good finish to the story, though I can't help but hope that someday we'll get a chance to see how Ceony's life as a magician goes :) I can't imagine it'll be TOO calm, eh?

I can't believe how much research into history and multiple religions in order to write these books - and the magical systems have been exquisitely designed. It's just astounding - and so much fun, too :)
