Alice parents and Roger are worried for Alice and her well-being. Alice has been distancing herself from her family and Roger because she feels guilty for the bad choices she made during her break. Beth has a boyfriend and Roger goes to the military.

Alice no longer wants to be with Bill and wants to be with Roger. Roger asks her out and Alice agrees but feels ashamed for what she did.

Alice feels guilty about trying drugs and vows never to do it again. However, three days later she tries pot and meets a boy named Bill who introduces her to more drugs and goes on a date with him. Then, her grandpa got a heart attack and she needs to help her grandma with chores.

Alice moves to her new home and is having a hard time adjusting. She's lonely at school and having communication issues with her mom and her life, overall, sucks. However, she meets a girl named Beth and they become best friends overtime. Summer vacation arrives and Alice goes to her grandparents house and gets invited to a party to which she gets drugged with LSD.

Alice spent Thanksgiving with her grandparents and talked about how they would miss each other. Alice mom worries about Alice weight loss but Alice denies it and starts to question her "real friends." She goes to Lucy Christmas party and goes on a "date" with another guy.

She got asked out by another boy named, Scott, to go to the movies and she's lost ten pounds. She enjoyed her date with Scott, but is still infatuated with Roger and her love for him.

A unnamed, teenage narrator speaks about her high school life and how stressful and dull it is. She talks about her family and a boy named Rogers and how he embarrassed her.

Jack and his group spots Ralph and Ralph runs through the jungle fleeing both Jack and his subordinates and the fire Jack set on the mountain. Ralph emerges onto the beach and is met by a British Naval officer who comes to save them after seeing the mountain on fire.

Ralph is badly hurt due to Jack invasion. Angry, Ralph knocks the skull to the ground and takes the stake it was impaled on to use as a weapon against Jack. That night, Ralph sneaks down to the camp at the Castle Rock and finds Sam and Eric guarding the entrance.

Jack throws his spear at Ralph, and the other boys quickly join in. Ralph escapes into the jungle, and Roger and Jack begin to torture Sam and Eric, forcing them to submit to Jack's authority and join his tribe.

The boys go to sleep and ralph has nightmares. Then the boys wake up and hear howling and are attacked by a group of Jack hunters.

Ralph and the boys go on a expedition and find a boar and begin to chase it down with their makeshift spears. They get tired and rest and find some fruit to eat.

The boys are slowly going insane because of the "Beast" and their hopeless situation. Ralph tries to maintain order by repeating the rules but some of he boys are rebeling and just want to kill the "beast."

The meeting continues and the boys start to theorizing on who the best could be. After, discussing and meeting ending, Ralph and the other boys become to paranoid to sleep/rest.

Ralph has another meeting with the boys to talk about Jack departure and their current situation. Piggy talks about a nightmare he had about a "beast" which scares everyone.

The boys begin to argue about "order" during the meeting and the tension begins to escalate more until it all goes south. Ruining Ralph's attempt to restore order to the island and causing Jack to split from the group.

Shortly after hunting, Ralph says he is going to call an assembly. Ralph tries to collect his thoughts on his way to the meeting spot, as leader, and how he has a serious responsibility.

Ralph goes to Piggy to use his glasses to light a fire, and Jack's friendly feelings toward Ralph change to resentment. Then Jack and the other boys find a pig, kill it and roast it.

Ralph spots a ship in the distance and is confident that the ship's crew will spot the boys' smoke signal. But, unknown to Ralph, the fire has gone out, being left unattended. They run to the mountaintop and discover the fire is dead and the ship has passed.

None of the boys sees the explosions and flashes in the clouds because the twins Sam and Eric, who were supposed to watch the signal fire, have fallen asleep. During the battle, a parachutist drifts down from the sky onto the island, dead.

The boys are trying to make a fire so that people can know they are on the island. However, they are struggling to make a fire big enough so that it produces smoke.

The boys have a meeting and discuss about their current status. How they will be stranded for a while on the island until somebody comes to find them. They give each other roles and Jack and Ralph go to hunt for food.

Ralph, Jack, & Simon go to explore the island and search for food. They climb up a cliff and they find the shore and a boat. Then they find a pig and kill it and eat it.

Carrying a stick sharpened into a makeshift spear, Jack trails a pig through the thick jungle, but it evades him. Irritated, he walks back to the beach, where he finds Ralph and Simon at work building huts for the younger boys to live in.

Jack reminds Ralph of the pig they found trapped in the vines in the jungle, and Ralph agrees that they will need hunters to kill animals for meat. Then they have a meeting and Piggy points out that the boy with the birthmark who had told them about the beast is missing. At the end, he dies in the fire that spread into the forest.

Children get stranded on a island due to a plane crash. Get introduced to a boy named Piggy and Ralph and investigate who else could be stranded.

Discusses Batman "insanity" by comparing him to other villains such as the Joker or Bane. Also uses the DSM-5 to see if Batman falls under one of the psychological disorders. The author concluded that Batman is not "crazy" for the world he lives in.

Talks about Batman family and how he became a father-figure to characters such as nightwing, Robin, and batgirl. Also gave a timeline on how that bat family became to be.

Goes more in-depth about Batman's relationships with other women, such as Talia, (the timeline), and how it's affected him as a character. It then began to talk about Sternberg’s Triangular Theory of Love and how it applies to Batman.

Talks about Robin, his origins, and how his relationship with Batman has impacted his life. It then moves on to talk about Batman's relationship with women, more specifically, Catwoman.
