what the hell am i even reading...

These fools think of themselves way too highly for my liking

I need to read this book three times to fully understand what it is that needs to be understood

I'm taking my time with this book... and I still am struggling to form a concise opinion on it

Patchett's writing is so addicting to read

what on earth am i reading

is it dumb to say that i wish there were more unicorns... so far we've had two flitting appearances disposed to a pat on the nose and nothing more

For all the character work of the last book, it's hard to feel the deaths of any of them in this one, purely because of the lack of emotional investment when the plot is the main focus

how the hell is the author going to wrap this all up, idek

Classic Isekai trope is attempted satirically and actually ends up being not so satirical if we're going along with the very bland formula every other isekai in the world operates on

If I wasn't already used to reading isekai I might have enjoyed it, oh well

I'm not totally on board with Mishima's beauty aesthetic, but his writing is addicting so wtv
