Tracy is starting Where the Falcon Flies: A 3,400 Kilometre Odyssey From My Doorstep to the Arctic
Life got busy and I had to put the book down for a few months. Glad to have picked it up and finished. I love that I get to experience Adam’s amazing adventures from the comfort of my couch! Loved this book as expected.

Critics accused missionaries of imposing western culture on a pristine indigenous people, etc. “But the five men did not go to them for profit, fame or ignorant cultural imperialism, but simply because they knew that Jesus offered the people eternal life in heaven and a new, nonviolent way of living here on God’s green earth. Good news, for free.”

Tracy is 50% done with Mere Christianity
This book has helped me understand Christianity at a deeper level. It has often given me words to explain faith concepts to others. The most meaningful chapter or me (again) on this read-through has been “nice people or new men”. The three parts of morality is a great one too.
I read it again for a book club that includes a friend’s neighbour who is not a believer. It should be an interesting discussion.

I read this book with fellow teachers at our school to learn ways we can fully employ narration with our students. It’s an excellent, practical book that I highly recommend for anyone endeavouring to pursue a Charlotte Mason education.
