rly enjoying my first re-read since high school. reflecting on the convo btwn julia & winston where they discuss the one thing they believe the party can’t take from them, their personal beliefs. ‘they can make you say anything, but they can’t make you believe it. they can’t get inside you’. it feels ironic sharing their belief, knowing how it turns out for them, & thinking it won’t happen to us ever
