An annoying read. For example: “Liem, imposing in a mail tunic, a battle axe strapped to his back, and a brace of daggers and a claymore hanging on his belt...”
If you hang a claymore from a belt, it will drag on the ground a yard behind you. You might get away with the claymore on his back and the axe on his belt (if it’s not a “great axe”)but not the other way around.
This was a DNF for me.

I feel like I’m slipping into a half doze in a hammock on a warm afternoon. It’s slow but affirming reading. I’m going to be a bit behind in my reading challenge when I finish this.

I know I claimed I am “reading now” but in truth, I am re-reading the first two books of the series first. I’m enchanted and want to experience the story in whole. I’ve been waiting for this book a long time. It’s worth waiting a little longer to steep in the world of 1010 - 1040 Scotland again only this time, riding the tale to conclusion.

I was thinking this was a book, not a short story. Good story but it wasn’t enough to satisfy my Gaiman craving.

I'm loving this. I'm hearing Trevor's voice as I read.
