"..better by far to praise the irreplaceable generator that has sustained our existence from its beginning, better by far to honor in prayer one's tangible daily encounter w/that ubiquitous eye of gold isolated in the blue body of the sky and its immanent power to incinerate the earth, than to swallow the official lie that God is good and truckle before a cold-blooded murderer of children. Better for one's dignity.."

After almost a decade -bought- because when I started to read it back then I felt in extreme disadvantage to a point of feeling uncomfortable doing so, like a poser pretending to know who these historical figures are. Knowing Dante's DC is not enough to truly enjoy Dante’s Club. Now I feel confident enough, as I respect and somewhat understand why the "characters" are the way they are. That's the beauty of reading.

This book is almost 1000 pages long, so... Yes it takes time, specially if you're reading several books simultaneously.

Live boldly..... Live well, just live. And one can only do that by moving on... By moving forward.

"Divorced? I'm a good Catholic girl, Louisa. We don't divorce. We just make our men suffer for all eternity!" ..I too keep seeing Will's face everywhere, quite disturbing considering. Happens when you get emotionally invested and in all honesty, it doesn't help to play Ed Sheeran while reading this.

Funny and emotional, what happens afterwards with its humor and colorfully explained characters, with its sadness, all that sorrow weighting on promises.. After You, stands alone, and does it fairly well. I'm glad to have ignored some reviews from those who pretty much, as Lou herself, were unable to move on or move forward from Me Before You, it is worth the chance.

"Son países sin misterios, todo sucede a la luz del día, la policía pretende ser corrupta por reglamento, gobierno y crimen organizado coinciden por dictamen constitucional, los bancos viven del lavado de dinero sucio y pobre de ti si no llevas capital de dudosa procedencia, te quitan el permiso de residencia; se matan pero solo el uno al otro y dejan en paz a los turistas."

I... hmm.., yup, there's a pile of onions all over my house, ...that's the only explanation, I'm not crying, You're crying...just shut up.
Don't know if one can get emotional after watching a movie trailer + the effect it has on your cognitive realisation of characters (redundant, yes), but reading this has been a pleasant, moving experience. Written as if Lou herself did it, truly, beautiful sad story. Loved it.

Started last night after watching the trailer for the film I just said .."you must read this", and haven't been able to stop. I have this "The Notebook" thrill. Loving it.

Started it at 12 am, a few hours ago, basically, in less than 2 hours I reached 34%, and the reason why I stopped: needed to sleep in order to wake up early today. This is sci-fi at its finest, a roller-coaster of emotions, I've cried I've laughed, I've gotten overly excited and invested. The humor is relatable and organic even, funny without even trying... I'm in love with this book.

Started it two hours ago, again the detailed description of vessels, arms, characters, is alluring, I'll probably finish this one faster than the previous books from the Stratton series.

I enjoyed the feasibility of the action, the pace and the ability of the characters, physically and intellectually. The story is ambitious insofar the manipulation involved. Predictable but no less entertaining.
