I fear this suffers from the same pacing issue as the first book, and maybe also a bit of middle book syndrome. Lots of discoveries, but not much action, there is no tension from an imminent threat (it is not clear what will happen and when) and the 'band' has dismantled, leaving scattered characters doing their own thing. that is making me enjoy most POV less (except Wirr, and I do like Ishelle).

I struggled for the first half, but holy hell if it is picking up. The scene in Asha's room? Taeris revelation? !! I knew James Islington would have put his own twist to the traditional chosen one trope. I am expecting more plot twists as the story unravels. it feels like it just really started.

Peccato sia incompleto, i personaggi della Austen sono sempre incredibili. Generalmente non amo lo stile epistolare, ma in questo caso è più che adatto alla storia e le voci narranti sono costruite e differenziate benissimo.
