so far this has been so strange and unique and i'm kind of obsessed already. should've known not to trust schaffa immediately but i crave the found family (parent-child) trope like it's crack so i was really hoping he'd be a good guardian (literally) for damaya but :/ he will probably get worse as the book goes on and i'm upset!
