Ummmm, not really sure what I just read. I think it’s probably really smart and I just need to process but also said WTF out loud quite a few times

A very quick read, perfect for the plane journey. Fast and lots of twists and turns and misdirection.

Enjoyed overall but dragged in places, didn’t quite live up to the hype on this one, or compared to his other book All the sinners bleed.

This book was even more poignant due to seeing him live and hearing him talk about the incident at his book tour. So much grit and determination, and probably far too damn stubborn too! However, very vulnerable and that shines through.

Totally different memoir, super interesting and completely unrelatable, but entertaining. Especially as Joan narrates her own story.

This is a real slog, and totally heartbreaking emotional rollercoaster

I didn’t love the first Emily Henry book I read and so was a bit reluctant to pick up another one but this was a lovely cozy romcom. 4 stars and whizzed through it

Very quick read/listen, excellent narration on the audio book. Well written story about life with a terrible father.

DNF @ 12% of the audiobook. Unnecessary graphic descriptions of child abuse, flowery writing, going nowhere. Really can’t understand the high ratings on this one.
