Hmmm, I’m on the fence about this book. There are some things that aren’t jiving with me. There’s one female character I just don’t like at all if we’re honest. Then the main male lead throws me a bit with some of the things he does in relation to women that might be more of the reflection of the time this was written but doesn’t age too well if that makes sense.

The things you read when you know one of your favorite actors is going to be playing the main character in its new tv adaptation that’s being made or already is in progress of being made. Also, the feeling of must read the book before I see the tv show must be satisfied.

So, I’m getting a Handmaiden’s Tale feel just from the first chapter. Not sure how I feel about that but I’m interested enough to continue and see where this is going.

Kinda glad I read Wonderland first to get some background about the theme park Wonderland and town Seaside. Feel like while not a sequel they are interconnected and Wonderland gives this book a bit of perspective if that makes sense.

Starting this finally. Very interested to see how this reads and then hopefully afterwards I’ll watch the movie, lol. Because I want to watch the movie but can’t until I read the book first.

Hmm, I’m not sure what I’m thinking about this one. Loved the first one, second one not as much but still enjoyed it. Think maybe I just understood the reasoning, or maybe it was because people knew what they were doing, but I’m not really here I think, but maybe it’ll click if I keep reading? We’ll see.

This might be a bit more deep then I was anticipating. Three different stories happening in the different areas then I’m assuming we’ll converge at some point? I’m also wondering if this is fantasy or sci-fi lol. Maybe a mix?

Well, it definitely has my attention at this point. Seems to have picked up now that we’re getting towards the end. Not sure why the beginning 50% of a book feels slow but the last feels fast. Weird.

So I figured out one thing which made me feel a bit slow lol. Still enjoying it.

Hmm, I’m interested, that’s about all I’ve got right now, lol.

Still enjoying it for the most part. Ignoring the little issues and just vibing.

Okay, so I might be seeing some of the hype. However, I’m also seeing a few things that bother me. I can ignore them and just enjoy the vibes, they don’t overly bother me to the point that I’m not enjoying the book overall. I can’t unsee what I’ve seen tho, so it’s still there even if I overlook it for the moment.

Hmmm, I have thoughts I’m just not sure how to phrase them. Overall I’ve enjoyed what I’ve read, kinda sitting at a four right now. We’ll see how things continue.

Having to do some immersive reading on this one. Not sure if the accent of the person reading the audio book is Scottish or Irish (bad at differentiating accents, those two options may even be wrong too lol), but it’s making listening at over 2.6 speed interesting.

Hmmm, slight improvement…slight, lol.

I’m really hoping at this point already that the main character becomes less irritating at some point lol. Really soon. Cause the way they are irritating me at this point so early in the book is really bad.

I’ve heard this book is supposed to be better than book one but when does that start? I feel like I’m pulling teeth to get through this book for some reason and I think it’s because of one perspective. One perspective is making me not want to pick up and read this which is kinda sad.
