Some books we get stuck with, however much we try to get back into reading them the time and space we live in seem to be wrong, and don't let us back. That is where I am with this book. Someday I'll get to read part two but not yet....

It is fun and frothy, with serious parts which worked well for me and fashion writing that was clear proof that addiction does not go away, it 'merely' finds more legal-but not necessarily more purposeful-ways of finding expression.

I got stuck with this book. I read all of part one, and understood the point of the book; the pressure of the social life/the married life/the family when such things apparently had no language.
