I like this book so much I want to directly refer this book to people. I am not super socially outgoing don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable but I think they’d love it.

I love this man tremendously. What a perfect human being. I love what he tells her. how he acts. Teddy scenes are so good- Riss is a mother. I am not a mother but as a daughter I feel so moved. It’s so beautifully part of the story.

I could be bad but I wouldn’t do that you moments: when character could make things saucier but puts the other first :))

I’m 60% through and really I love it so much. It’s def making my favorites list top 5 romances for sure. It’s a simmer. we all know it’s coming but the slow walk is great. flirting, respect, whole relationships, gooey kindnesses, life live without each other, evergreen memories with each other, whole lot of love. I root so hard for them. Riss M. Neilson needs to write more romances. I love this a whole lot.

one of the sweetest romances ever. I think a lot of times when people come back into each other’s life with baggage ( in modern romance subcultures) things just feel snippy and there’s a lot of anger but these two have lot of fondness that isn’t coming out wrong but is still under wraps to an extent but is present. it’s also their traits. They’re both emo intelligent esp when it comes to each other.

Hasan and his brothers and their crew meetings—I love when our insurgents actually hold meetings. How does one manage a syndicate without meetings??? I love all the internal strings in their relationships but what’s probably working most is the urgency surrounding Paranjay’s disappearance. This was the hook that got my attention most

- A bit of Hesina from Descendants of the Crane ( my fav part mentioned in blurb Jackal’s den )
- with a mixture of CL Clark’s Unbroken with regard to whole return into world of politicking hell maybe even the ambitious goal setting .
- and dash of Rowenna Miller’s Torn in terms of prose/world/setting idk about the vibes but maybe

It’s reminding me a lot of Babel x Empire of Sand x And the Sky Bled.

Her pov of I gave up so much to withstand this school that I refuse it to be in vain is interesting for sure. I like the Jackal pov quite a bit more. It’s the least unlikely choice — I have a character type and I’m generally loyal. low key I just call it angry boy or girl on a warpath. The vengeance types. are they scorpios??? meandering

i compare this mina v esguerra’s last bk with rose as the mc. where she’s the only one in her fam who hasn’t left US and her family wants her to but she doesn’t want.

I am not here to talk about the romance though I love it. It’s bashful, confident and built on years of fondness, longing and dare I say waiting.

This is your sign to read more Filipino romances. Anj Miranda's The Off Chance of You and Me is soft, humorous, flirty but also kind of serious in wonderful thoughtful ways. 
This is a 2nd chance romance between college friends . Very much the one who got away. Jason is NBA player who secretly is environmental geek who might be done with 🏀. Tala is care nurse but her real passion is dance.

Real world discussions about wealth, power, immigration, and class differences. This book touches on repatriation. How the return might not be determined by success but choice.

5 * This was well conceived romance about making decisions on your own time. There was no pressure to change each other. It’s just relaxing and nice. There is conflict in the book because what if that perfect bubble pops. what if one of them walks away and other one doesn’t want that but doesn’t want to impose but that’s who they are. If you read Jackie Lau romances, you might really enjoy Mina V. Esguerra’s catalog
