I love Sam. He is such a nice character and thinking of his fate in the series makes me sad.

Bri is acting different and her friends notice and it’s hard to see them fight because of her rap persona. I love how hooked I am to this book that I’m attached to the characters and the plot.

I can’t get enough of this book. The nerdy references are perfectly relatable and hilarious. Angie Thomas does amazing writing in this book that I enjoy just as much as her previous book. It’s that good.

I love how relatable Trevor Noah is when he talks about how he was a trouble maker when he was an adolescent. It’s so funny to hear about and I can imagine so many people in similar ways.

Dorian and Maeve’s alliance is very odd and concerning. I don’t think Dorian realizes what he has gotten himself into in this regard. He is over confident if he thinks he can manipulate both Erawan and Maeve to his advantage.

I like how everyone is going behinds Chaol’s dad’s back to get things ready for war. Chaol’s dad deserves what is happening to him after trying and failing to blackmail everyone.

Whenever Aelin releases all her power it is such an awesome moment and the author writes it with so much intensity that I am awestruck.

I love how Aelin reacted to seeing Chaol again. It was so positive how they both managed to move past their major issues with each other.

Manon is becoming a great leader now. I really like how the author wrote about her trip to the Ferian gap and how she told the other witches about how she could return them to their homelands.

The last hundred pages I read were so intense I don’t know how I’ll get through the rest of the book if there is somehow still 600 pages to go. Aelin is so broken and reading about it makes me so sad.

It hurts me to see Aelin in this condition. Aelin is such a great character and seeing her be locked away like this is so sad.

I can’t believe that Yrene just pushed the PRINCESS in to the water. She has become so bold and much more confident in herself that she would risk so much by doing that. Hasar will no doubt be mad but it was totally worth it.

Kashin isn’t that bad of a guy. He seems to care about the people of Antica and he is basing his war decisions based off of them which is better than his siblings. Even though things with Yrene and him are uncomfortable, he is still considering siding with Chaol in the war.

Sartaq and Nesryn have such a cool storyline. The steepes are so amazing and the ruks that they ride on may be even cooler than the wyverns.

I can’t get enough of Yrene’s personality and attitude in this book. She is such a strong and amazing character and she calls Chaol out on the things he does. She is one of my favorite characters I think.

I already really enjoy Yrene’s character. She is very confident and smart and the way she and Chaol converse is very interesting. Especially with Nesryn around.

This book seems like it will very interesting and I’m excited to see how the southern continent in this world differs from the rest of the series settings.

I love how Aelin always has a new plot and scheme waiting to emerge and it’s great to see the characters just as frustrated as I am at her secret plans.

This last battle scene was fantastic. I loved how it was written in such an intense way. It’s also pretty great that the two main storylines are now merged which makes me so excited for the rest of the book.
