This book is generally really good, but there’s a lot of telling instead of showing in a way that would be great to use in a high school English class but as an adult person is a little boring…

It’s a good thing I had this queued up on my kindle

This book is like 1 punch too much “telling instead of showing” it is soooo close to hitting the points it’s trying to hit about how women are blamed for men’s actions and it goes overboard every time

And just like perfume and pain, I am now growing a vintage watch hyperfixation

This book is just over saturated with self love rhetoric it’s forced and cringe instead of empowering

Excellent commentary about humanity and morality in this one. Good allegories for current events. How killers justify death, whether the act of killing another living being is a natural instinct or not, even if it’s a goat

So scared for the Yellowstone parts of this book to start…yellowstoning

Giuliana’s faith is all she has left…her husband gambles and drinks and keeps impregnating her, her two kids are sickly, they’re in debt…if she relinquishes her belief that “to live is to be with child” she will have to relinquish all of her belief, which is what has been keeping her salient for so long

I am soooo enjoying this book

I knew exactly what this book was going to be and somehow I am STILL disappointed

I am having a horrible time reading this. The writing is super cringe, the characters are constantly acting outside of the character traits the AUTHOR CHOSE, and the BDSM etiquette is bad. I only continue on so I can write an eviscerating review at the end of this
