Rereading cuz I found an audiobook read by Karen Savage

Rereading it after ten or so years 💗

I’m beginning to make sense of it I guess, I take back my initial thoughts… I guess the translators also make a difference? I seem to enjoy Jay Rubin’s translated ones better.

This is my third Murakami book, the first being awful and the second, redeeming his writing enough to pick another one right away.
- I misunderstood and assumed this to be a short story rather than a collection of short stories (should’ve read the blurb)
- His attention to detail( specifically the explicit descriptions) is really off-putting
- First-person P.O.V may not really be his forte
