Couldn't help re-reading this one after Ocean's Echo (I will also take a moment to be grateful Goodreads tracks re-reads now, I remember the dark years before it lol)

I am SO obsessed with this book's narration
It's just extremely pleasant to read it, and, of course, the characters and plot also feel exquisite
(but I do believe the narration is what's drawing me in the most)

Really enjoying this so far

I can't believe Christmas reading is basically saving my bookish year lol
I've just been in such a reading slump all year long, I hope this reading frenzy continues on

on that note, I can't waaaaaait for Ocean's Echo to be released, it is one of the few things I feel really excited to read and it's still months away from releaseeeeeee

I feel like TJ Klune + my january reads (Winters Orbit, this is how you lose the time war, The Darkness Outside Us etc) really ruined this reading year for me by setting the bar WAY too high - all other things I've read so far just left me feeling unsatisfied =/

There is a certain kinship between Gordo and Elizabeth that is just very very moving
This book is just very emotional all around, even more than Wolfsong to me
Also - the chemistry between Gordo and Mark is to die for

I feel like this is being a bit dragged out, but every flashback to before the Bennett's came back just breaks my heart. Poor Gordo

The writing on this is spetacular, a prime example of show-don't-tell.

I was just going through my TBR and stumbled upon this one honestly

Loving it so much, it just warms your heart

Libby just makes me ignore my entire physical tbr and read whatever I want anytime I want honestly

I'm falling in love with this one, can't believe it's only been 60 or so pages.
