Lawrence Hall
Lawrence Hall is on page 50 of Second World War Poems
If this is the box for SECOND WORLD WAR POEMS, these works from diverse sources - Eastern Europe, Japan, civilians, prisoners - are BRILLIANT. Thank you.

If this is the box for RESIDENCE ON EARTH, the poems are obscure. I'm wondering if the early poems, at least, aren't a the-emperor's-new-clothes joke.

Accessing Goodreads is becoming more difficult and obscure.

Lawrence Hall is on page 274 of 320 of Mountolive (The Alexandria Quartet, #3)
9 September 2022. This evening I finished MOUNTOLIVE but the Goodreads site is balky. This is the third book in The Alexandria Quartet, and somehow more accessible than Justine and Balthazar. The series reads well as a complex historical drama and a dullard like me must often take many of the events and characters on that acceptable level; the more perceptive and better-educated reader will find more riches in it.
