The Book was very descriptive. Full of unnecessary descriptions I would say. I got bored. I thought it would be a fast paced novel but it was going too damn slow. Anyways, will come back to it when I feel the mood. Right now, I am not a patient reader and things were just not happening in the pace I wanted.

38% DONE but I am still feeling distant from the characters. The characters do not seem properly fleshed out to me. Like I am reading something without proper interest it warrants. Also, nothing is happening. It feels more like a romance between two single dads rather than a murder mystery.

Who goes to a drug seller's house at night armed with just a cellphone containing some incriminating pictures to blackmail him accompanied by a boy without any known martial arts history? Pip. That's who...🤦‍♀️🙄😑

This book reminds me of my school days were there wasn't a day that went by without me reading a book involving Nancy Drew or the Famous Five or the Secret Seven. Coincidently, the protagonist here Pippa, likes to be called Pip, a name I distinctly remember being one of the characters in Secret Seven.

The people you love weren't algebra: to be calculated, subtracted, or held at arm's length across a decimal point.
- Pippa's view on people calling Victor her stepfather and Joshua her half brother.

This is me beginning the first chapter wherein Pippa visits Sal's family. This had me laughing out loud at the girl's gall to ignore the rules set for her by her teacher i.e. she specified and underlined that Pippa isn't allowed to meet the families of both Andie and Sal which if she did, would render her project invalid. This girl is really something.

"I'm going to write positive, happy, normal thoughts.
No crazy thoughts allowed"

Noooooo.... I want Alexei and Sean. I don't want Jamie and Kyle and their brand of sexy times😑😒

Okay. I think I have had too much of Twins and Heirs and all the back and forth. Maybe it's time for a break. For me too and for the characters as well. I mean, I want to shout and scream with frustration (and I did that using a pillow), shake Caroline and ask that why can't something go the Twins' way? Just once?

I can't take it anymore. Maybe I need to ease off this series...😐

I am very ambivalent about this book right now.😶 It's getting a bit repetitive. And is moving too slow for my tastes. But still continuing on...

WTH??? I don't at all like the turn the book is taking. It's too sudden and makes no sense. I really want to shake the author for completely ruining this novel for me.😒😕

DNFing. The book in itself was not so bad but LIFE is interfering, Till now, no romance but the concept is interesting. An intense story but breaks in the reading is taking the enjoyment out of the book. Will try it again later...

Interesting but not interesting enough. Not able to get into the mood. Sidelining this for now...

I think I picked this book up at the wrong time...
I just can't expend any more brain cells to understand big words. Call me shallow, I was expecting a lot more romance. Instead, the book is turning and veering more into an autobiography direction.
Maybe I'm too quick to judge but DNFing for now.😑

It's like we are back to square 1. Raphael is behaving in an unbelievably arrogant manner as if the previous book hadn't happened. Yes, we know he loves her but the actions don't match. He is again invading her mind, calling her his pet/toy. I am getting annoyed😑

My mind is spinning with so many names...

This may be a bit premature but I have a few questions...

<spoiler>1. What does the process of Made/Making entail? It involves 'making' of vampires or 'making' of vampires into immortals?
2. Vampires first become Immortal and then enter servitude for 100 years or is it vice versa (which means vamps do the servitide thing despite knowing them may not become immortal)?</spoiler>

I would love to get answers from ya'll

I am sure there is a proper explanation for all this but it still feels too convenient. Not happy with the way this part was dealt with by the author.😒

The pace has slowed down a bit with nothing happening that I can properly understand. There are lots of dreams and premonitions but they are fewer in number. And its like Rush has totally vasnished. He has no POV and makes little appearance even in Clarke's POV.
Honestly, I am a bit bored...😑

This is turning out to be a lot better than I expected. The angst factor is excellent...

This book is going far better than I imagined...😃

What a roller coaster this has been... Going straight to the next book.
