I keep opening this up, reading a few pages and getting freaked out.

I will never financially recover from this book

When will this boomeranging zigzag of a fact-filled bathroom reader END for the love of GOD

This is painfully good. Exquisite.

Woo-eee, these ladies are catty! Whose idea was it to send the Real Housewives of Earth up into space? Plus, everyone is pregnant at the same time? This all-girls high school is full of not-great hormones and ready to mean-girl you with a rude word for zero reason in a hot second. Yikes.

Respectfully, this book is making me nauseous.

This is So. Boring. I’m getting bogged down in Cromwell’s monastic reforms and the random assortment of plenaries he utilizes to effect them. It’s well-written but definitely more of a non-popular semi-academic biography.

I am 100% absorbed into Thomas Cromwell’s imagined life. I wake up having dreamt of it.

Oh my god, this is brilliant, hilarious poetry. I pray it keeps going this good. I’ve giggled and laughed out loud so much. And wondered. Why was this not on ONE end-of-year 2022 wrap-up list!?

This is so. Good. So funny and weird and easy to read. Savoring every word.

ENDLESS

This is longest book ever and it’s all in one voice.

This book is awful. But I’ve gotten so far!

Going to give this one another chance. This is the THIRD time I’ve checked it out. It always keeps coming to mind, mostly because it’s set in a kind of mystical urban Los Angeles maze.

It is truly a joy to have found I book I can hate-read as much as this. Oh! I hate it!

This book is both engagingly well-written and infuriatingly stupid.

First of all, I did not know Rick James was a momma’s boy.

This 7% took me two lifetimes to complete and took me from a cattle car filled with dirty children destined for death to a prison camp suicide followed by a theological dialogue on the revolution, followed by a visit to a tank embedded on the frontlines of Stalingrad and boy are my arms tired

Oof, I don’t think I can do this.

If this mfer writes "Sure," "Sax blinks owlishly" or "shrugs" one more gd time, I'm gonna freak out.
