безпечна книжка для мого настрою в ці дні — маленький або й великий подарунок долі. дякую відеоподкасту про культ 2000-х за нагадування про цей роман 90-х. те, що я не знала раніше, скільки тут літрів іронії та вдалих дотепів, в тому числі на стилістичному рівні, створило ефект втішної несподіванки. на відміну від повітряної тривоги кілька хвилин тому

I am currently reading about Austerlitz’s mother being sent to a concentration camp. The most painful realization is that I still find myself surprised by people’s detachment, allowing this to happen again even while recognizing the historical parallels. History is not only repeated - it is often quietly permitted.

I'd say the first sentence of the blurb doesn't reflect its complexity. Relieving in the more disturbing hours, perhaps too disturbing for the quieter ones, Bataille is proof that the world holds affection for us humans. It was almost too exciting at times, so I had to post it to mutilate my reading = )

I've read this much, and wow — if anyone needs inspiration to fight for truth on any level, it's well worth reading

Pale words drift around ineffable moments they scarcely dare to convey, let alone preserve. These moments wash away regrets and most of the pain. All of it, if only for a while. But hey — reading’s great, yep.

The discourse with having an open discourse, of course, is that discourses will insist on discourse along and trying to discourse discourses in it.

Місцями читати доволі нудно, не в останню чергу тому, що (напів)свідомі реконструювання експансивних імперіалістичних ідеологій – на жаль, надто добре знайомі і майже неметафоричні скалки в задниці, процес витягування яких, зрештою, шкодить усім сторонам, але є нюанс. Під фантастичним впливом хорошого настрою вірю, що людство колись витягне їх усіх, і навіть якщо й далі житиме в задниці, вона хоча б болітиме менше =]
