I’m struggling to proceed. It’s just not drawing me in.

I am not loving the long descriptions of furnishings…both in house and in humans. I just need the story to move along a bit more quickly. Important description of surroundings is important when it’s important to the story. I need to see the setting. I just can’t enjoy overkill.

I give a book a good try before I give up on it. This one I read through page 95. I just can’t find the story. There are too many characters and none of them are endearing to me. I’m sure others have liked this book very much but it’s not forme.

I just can’t finish this book. I made a little over halfway through but reading about dying of cancer is not something I want to do right now.

I’m taking a break from the travels for a time.

First 20 pages and I am totally depressed. Maybe the book is good in the end but this is not the Christmas read I want. I am out
