Interesting characters (an Irving staple) but uneven narrative so far.

Happy to have thee characters back in my reading sights! So far, Lagercrantz has kept up to Larssen's standard or at least avoided any disconcerting attempts to change the mood and personnel.

Just started this autographed copy (a birthday gift) by one of my favorite authors. Ms. Rusell's ability to recount historical events has me intrigued. This period in particular has my anticipation up. I was mesmerized by David Lean's Laurence of Arabia as a child and we are still living with the consequences of political folly in the early 20century.

This was not as well written as Robbie's songs are written. Maybe that's why there are people known as ghost writers?

What an honest statement! Bruce risks being as human as the rest of us. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

King succeeds again wit a tale of time travel for the most improbable mission. Right off the bat, he dispenses with the adage of prior time travelers that "you will change everything" .

Hesitant to finish because I don't want to see Ishmael's time with the little girl end. This comes from having finished Ishmael previously and seeing his time with Joe come to an end. There must be a lesson there about letting go. Hum...
