Omg almost half way through and still almost nothing has happened. It is all faff and needless conversations. The writing is juvenile. The jokes are obvious.

Not sure about this book and author. Almost 1/3 of the way in and virtually nothing has happened. Lots of day to day blah blah blah

I didn’t realize this is a series. Well, so far it seems like the kind of series that means it is related and contains the same characters but not that it is one long story because so far I have had no trouble reading it as a stand-alone book.
