I have been loving TS Paul's Federal Witch series. You may want to start with book #0 which is actually a novelette that introduces the series and his magic concepts.

TS Paul has a well written plot, funny and engaging characters, and a refreshingly good knowledge of the language.

You'll love his sometimes arrogant, always practical, young witch. :)

OMG this was sooo good! And sooo nasty. ;) All you good girls who love to be bad girls will enjoy this. Sweet, quirky, outrageously adult romance.

Jet Mykles writes a lovely story and the Reindeer Games series is adorable. His characters are engaging and the plot well paced. I highly recommend him!
