Wasn't a fan of the first short story. The structure and the switching between font styles was jarring.

These are nice when I read them each morning, but they don’t really stick with me throughout the day as I was hoping they would.

Very thought provoking

This is quite dense but equally profound so far.

The characters have such hard lives and I feel bad for them, but they don't seem to care for each other so I feel disconnected. I'm not invested even though they have such sad stories. It's kinda a drag so far.

It’s sad that psychologists in training got such good supervision and time to actually conceptualize clients back then. Now we just get overwhelmed with clients to make companies money. Maybe a difference between the US and UK as well

I like the first 20ish pages but for the last 20 our MC has been sitting in a room being introduced to people. I forgot how slow fantasy could be at times.

Defining someone by their partners for drama seems sad but telling

He takes a wonderfully client-centered approach to his interpersonal interactions with his patients and their families. Very nice to see in a surgeon.
