First time reading, I’d really love to know what the hell Danglers’ problem is to where he’s so threatened by everything Edmund does.

I can’t believe I put this off for so long. I thought it would be so lighthearted when I first picked it up. But so far it’s one that I’ll be recommending at every possible opportunity.

If this isn’t the most helpful thing anyone could read in a fantasy novel, this is it.

Memories are fossils the bones left by dead versions of ourselves. More potently, our minds are a hungry audience craving only the peaks and valleys of experience. The bland erodes, leaving behind the distinctive bits to be remembered again and again.

You can’t taste a memory without taunting it with who you have become.
