This book is so surprising. Definitely a book club selection, do much you can talk about. The characters are wonderful (wink and a nod to the author)

Reading this because it will be featured in the literary arts lectures in January. I was hoping that I'd get to Madge Oberholtzer before this point.

I read part of this book. Borrowed from library and skipped around. Not sure if I'll return to it again.

A beautiful line. "Yet, here she was, utterly alone, stalking her neighbors and talking to her plants. Except for the yucca, which she'd never entirely trusted."

Restart chapter 4

I am 82 pages in and no magic. Kind of bummed I bought this.

The prequel. 40 pages long.

Classic lines on pages 107 and 108 that are reminiscent to me of the bean trees.

Very interesting, I hope I finish this before it goes back to the library.

I just stumbled on another book located in Oregon. This time in Portland.
