Slowly but surely. I’d like to actually finish this before i have to return it. I am enjoying, I like novels that step outside the usual bounds of prose.

Rereading. Very interesting to compare this to SOTR.

I had to admit, I’m not enjoying this one as much as TBOSAS. I feel like Snow had such a crazy perspective it was easy to get caught up in. It’s been a long while since I read the OG trilogy but Haymitch is a lot much like Katniss in the narration style.

Overall, it’s feeling more TA, but I like learning more about this world, and Collins always has insightful commentary.

it’s like a cousin to Practical Magic

This seems like I will enjoy this. However. It is so dense. Like I really have to concentrate. I feel like this is one of those books you have to read several times.

There’s over a hundred pages left in this book and I’ve figured out at least one of the things that will happen… It’s like when you’re yelling at the tv at the characters in a horror movie. I want to read less because of the dread but hopefully once we get to it things will pick up.
