I’m reading the Briar U and the Campus Diaries to prepare for Love Song that releases this spring!

Really enjoying this one but not as much as book 1… leaning towards 4 stars or 4.5.

I’m flying through this book and can’t wait for Reginald’s book.

This one is hilarious.

I have a feeling I may not enjoy books including a podcast… DNF for now.

I finished my first book by this author this morning. It’s 6pm and this one is now book 3 by her.

I understand the hype!

I made the mistake of starting this book while I was going to sleep and plan to get up early.
I could probably finish this book in one sitting if I tried! It gets so good!

I’m 100 pages in and I am finally enjoying it!

However, I think this may be 2 or 3 stars for me; there isn’t much of a plot.

So far, this book is mainly descriptions.

Wow. I’m on page 10 of this book and already dislike it… maybe I’m not in the mood to read this one? A bummer bc I selected this for book club!

This audiobook is split into three sections and there are pauses for a good stopping point but no actual chapters. I have loved this author’s work through audiobooks. I won’t DNF this one but I’ll skim the remainder of it.

I didn’t connect with this story as I have with the others.

I love the multiple POV and camp setting!

Wow. Ava is annoying me already and the fact the Scotsman’s last name is Scott? Another last name couldn’t have been chosen?

I haven’t read an Ali Hazelwood book in over a year; I forgot how spicy they can be!

I loved the mention of Red Dead Redemption 2; it is one of my favorite video games.

I’ve read one of Ali Hazelwood’s novels and two novellas and always hear if you’ve read one, you’ve read them all. The premise of video game designers in a workplace romance is a fun setting!
Single POV/ first person- I didn’t read the premise for this book!

This story is so fantastic, I’ve hit part 2. It was hard to remember the characters and their dragons at first but it all came back to me!

I may almost recommend to read this book last in the series, starting with book 3 (The Mist), then book 2 (The Island) as the series actually sits backwards chronologically. This book, The Darkness (book 1) takes place 20 years after The Mist (book 3).

Since I now know the author has multiple backstories in the first 50% as The Island, I was better prepared for this set up. Both stories about Hulda and her family and the other snowy secluded mystery are fascinating!

So this book takes place before book 2, roughly 10 years because Dinmah is 13.

The first 25% is a fascinating set up to this story but it doesn’t get interesting until about this point!

I loved Outside by this author and there is a Texan YouTuber who visited this home in Iceland; can’t wait for this secluded thriller!

I think it would’ve been faster to read this book on audio… but I enjoy Charlotte’s character and the mystery aspect!

Wow, I haven’t read Falling or Drowning by this author but I honestly didn’t read the synopsis but I didn’t expect to be so emotional.

Each chapter is a different dates, making each chapter at least 20 pages. I wish they were shorter!

The dedication is fascinating and I loved how the radio snippet in the first bit was a great addition.
I think listening to the audio book will be the right choice!
Drowning and Falling by this author are still on my TBR.

Such a fun Christmas read! I wish it was first person POV though.

The setting to The Light Pirate is so fascinating and the fantasy aspect is interesting. Excited to see where it goes but this book is truly heartbreaking!

I think I like Layla the best! Can’t wait for her book!!
