Maybe it is impossible for history to be fair, so who can you blame? Do you think there's a way to make it fair?

It is very much an apologetic western look at religion, pandering and selectively factual. Sometimes I wonder if I am reading the book just because I am too stubborn to put it down.

There are a few pages on Hinduism, and the stereotyping and disapproval is very apparent. Any social structure has its good and bad sides, but it doesn't make sense to take a balanced view on one (Greek civilization and Christianity)and a wholly negative view (ignoring all the good sides) on Hinduism. It's disappointing that this narrative dominates academia.

Proof that words can induce emotion in a way no human can.
I'm both awed and heartbroken.

When a book written decades ago still remains relevant in terms of insight into human nature, it becomes a classic.
Massive respect, Bronte.
