Fml I looked up reviews of this book and let me tell you, the author didn’t read the room. I guess there will be three books so there is time yet. Because (SPOILER!!!) the protagonist is severely oppressed and once you know you can’t read this book the same way.

Firmly sucked in now. I wish this book was longer.

I'm not sure what's Sci Fi about this but I'm into it anyway. It's like watching bachelor in paradise a decade ago.

Took a look at the chapter list and realized I know where this is going. Hopefully the journey will be fun.

Why did Clune decide to use a real suburb to write this novel?

this book is so good so far. It's similarly paced to the first and the writing is incredibly on point. I will definitely re-read this book, too, just like I did the first book.

So glad to have another book! And it's not from the perspective of a stuck-up-sociopath this time.

so... I'm realizing... that the first time I read this, I apparently thought that all Ali's chapters were boring. So, I skipped them. And then the end didn't make sense.
I'm not at the end yet, but there is this weird "not a love triangle" shaped thing going on. And I definitely 100% missed that when I read it for the first time. It's sorta funny, now, actually.

This feels a bit like "nothing to see here" so far, which was entirely and completely awesome and adorable.

First half is interesting. Curious to see how it’s relevant to the 2nd half.

This book is better read blind. Also I didn’t realize it’s short
