Really liked the introduction, the translation of the essay, and the notes/fragments that I’ve read so far. I found his take on Greek vs Jewish views of nature quite impactful.

The greatest book of all time ngl

Taking a day off the Grundrisse. Going to spend time really working through this one. I love Walter Benjamin.

This is a banger.

Marx’s prose is just fantastic.

If I keep this pace up, we’ll be done with the Grundrisse in about a month. Hopefully I’ll have a bit more than 10/day next week when I’m not w*rking every day.

Sneevliet was actually evil. The Comintern adopting a Menshevized revolution policy for China was a travesty. The CPC “bloc within” the GMD just diverted workers from the CPC and emboldened the right wing of the GMD. Doesn’t help that Stalin also supported the stageist revolution here, but that was adopted as early as 1920. Opportunism, plain and simple. I’m starting to get Gorter’s response to Lenin more.

Going a bit slow because Marx is using a lot of number-heavy examples from Ricardo, Carey, Malthus and countering them with his own at the moment.
