“Imagine if Michelangelo left huge chunks of the Sistine Chapel unfinished. Imagine if Raphael had to step in and do the rest.”

Crazy parallel considering how Michelangelo prevented anyone from seeing the Chapel and Raphael snuck in to see it unfinished. Also Michelangelo already didn’t like him because he thought he was “borrowing” stylistic techniques!

“And don’t let me hear you’ve been making any more visits to Alicia’s relations, understood?”
“You have my word.”
That afternoon I went to Cambridge, to visit Alicia’s cousin, Paul Rose.”
