I'm not the biggest fan of second chance romances but I am a total sucker for Austen retellings! Here we go!

The level of anxiety I feel right now is horrific. If it does not end well in this piece of fiction I will literally be distraught. My heart goes out to all the people who have been discriminated against so horrifically. This book is capturing injustice in a meaningful and visceral way.

My TBR is about to explode! Happy times ❤️📚

Actually I don't know the percent because it's an audiobook omnibus. Okay, I could work it out but I'm not gonna. Anyhoo! Shout out to NZ in this book. Apparently we quarantined early so got ahead of the zombie virus spread. Life imitating art?

Okay. So the same lady who made moves on another woman the day after her husband ate her kids, is now hitting on another man. Moreover, the lesbian woman she tried to hit on is also finding herself drawn to the same man. Y'all need to get eaten by zombies ASAP.

Yikes lady! I don't want to be too jugdey given there's a zombie apocalypse and you're probably traumatised and all, but you literally watched your husband eat your kids yesterday now your making moves on someone else?

Wow! Straight into the grisly stuff 🧟🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️

This is the loooongest set up I have ever encountered in a book. I really hope sitting through this in depth look at the characters and listening to their every inner thought is going to start paying off soon. There are 12 hours to go....

How can a book where 6 interesting people have super cool magical abilities be so utterly boring!? It had such an incredible start but for several hours now it has been peole talking and none of this talking is even driving the story forward! I'm sticking it out but there better be some kind of display of magical ability soon rather than theoretical discussions about it.

This book is ruining The Sound of Music for me! Now the songs are just going to sound creepy and menacing 😱😱👻👻

Honestly so adorable!

It's been ages since I posted an update during a book but this is sooooo good I am literally dancing with excitement. I say dancing, but what I'm doing is a very loose interpretation of that word. More like hopping from foot to foot. Dear Book, please keep being amazing!

Major trigger warning for animal cruelty. I felt sick to my stomach and got quite teary to be honest. I did an Internet search to see if this practice was a reality but had to abandon that when I saw some of the results contained videos. It won't stop me continuing the book as it is not about animal cruelty but I wish I had been prepared. I will give a hidden content warning in my review.
